As we all know that HTC has recently launched new series of smartphone like HTC One S and HTC One X to get the focus and grip in the android market. So HTC again launched in April 2012 a new smartphone named as HTC One V in the mid range segment with high quality features which is as usual because HTC is genuinely famous for its best software and hardware configuration.
HTC One V is not so powerful like other smart phones competing with this one but still not bad when you get 1GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM which is quiet good and very much helpful when you are dealing with heavy apps. HTC One V comes with 5MP camera and HTC Sense 4.0 for UI which really makes you feel good while switching to different apps or if it is about homescreen. This HTC One V smartphone is really equipped with high level apps and software which makes it a tough competitor in mid range segment.

Review on HTC One V:
HTC again revealed a new smartphone HTC One V which is an affordable device with lots of heavy features and as usual software and hardware configuration. HTC One V comes with latest OS that is Android 4.0(ice-cream sandwich) with HTC sense 4.0 which makes you updated till the time but UI of this phone pretty much similar as HTC One S and HTC One X. Apart from that you will get 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM which gives you the speed and gives you better outcome when you are dealing with heavy apps, feels good while switching between applications and different homescreen and runs HD games very smoothly. The body of HTC One V has metallic body which is 9.2mm thick and only 115g in weight and that’s not it the external volume rocker button is very much responsive but camera shutter button is absent. HTC One V is provided with 5MP camera with single LED flash which helps you to take pics 4 frames per second and additionally surface detection is good and there is very low amount of digital amount of low noise present in image quality but if talk about the video taking from this smartphone then it’s actually disappointing as it creates HD video however it would look like washed out sometimes.
HTC One V have 3.5mm universal audio jack with Beat Audio which really says louder than any statement. About display than it has 3.7 inch display in diagonal with 480*800p and 250pixels per inch which is quiet good and makes a decent output and gives you better graphics.
But except all we feel some hard time while dealing with heavy web pages in internet browsers and video camera is not up to the mark. Also front facing camera is missing for video calling while other smartphone of the same range like Sony Xperia Arc S, Samsung Galaxy W and HTC Sensation is providing dual core facility with lots of other features.
Pros (Positive Side)
- Nice Camera with the ability to take pictures at 4 frames per second.
- Body built with anodized metal which makes it light in weight and very handy just like you can handle it with one hand.
- Nice and smooth display which supports 65 million colors and UI with HTC Sense 4 technology makes touch very sensational.
- Good on-screen keyboard helps you to type mail or message very fast with auto correcting facility.
- Loudspeaker is also good.
Cons (Negative Points)
- Video camera is not up to the mark.
- Internal memory is 4GB but you have to buy extra memory if you want to use audio player or camera.
- Front facing camera is not available for video calling.
Cost & Appearance

HTC One V is provided with capacitative touch with size 400*800pixels which gives 16 million colors support. Display is 3.7” diagonally with multitouch and HTC Sense UI 4.0 version.
In 2G you will get 850/900/1800/1900 and in 3G network you will get HSDPA 850/900/2100.
This phone is very slim with 9.2mm thick and only 115g in weight with dimensions 120.3 *59.7*9.2mm and fully equipped with Touch-sensitive controls.
In this mobile sound alert is available in the form of vibration, mp3 and WAV ringtones. Loudspeaker is available and sounds good. For audio and visual there is 3.5 mm universal jack is available with Beat Audio which double your music experience.
Internal memory is 4GB but only 1 GB is available for consumer use so it’s necessary to purchase extra memory which is expandable up to 32GB.
5MP camera is available for taking pics of 2592*1944 pixels with autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging, face with smile detection and can make 720p HD videos but front facing camera is not available for video chatting. So now Never miss a shot with a camera that starts-up in under a second, has a zero shutter delay and simultaneously shoots 720p HD video and takes pictures on a 5MP camera. And with HTC ImageChip get great shots regardless of lighting and movement.
Phone is provided with Standard Battery LI-Ion 1500 mAh which seems to be good source for sufficient back up.
