Due to hike in passenger fares during his Railway Budget and then,for refusing to roll-back the hike,Mamta Banerjee has demanded PM to remove Dinesh Trivedi by the end of the day.Then Congress has asked Ms Banerjee to wait till Parliament breaks.But,Mamta Banerjee,not known for compromise,refused that suggestion and demanded to make exit Dinesh Trivedi as soon as budget is released.But after 5 days of wait,Dinesh Trivedi has resigned.After that Mamta Banerjee has cleared her intension of replacing Dinesh Trivedi by Mukul Roy.Mamta Banerjee wanted Mr. Trivedi removed as a railway minister as he announced hike in passenger fares.But, Mr. Trivedi said the price hike would be important because of the need of railway modernisation and advancement. This is the most bold political step in almost a decade that has been taken by any party.
But,what had added more worries to Trinamool was the adamant decision taken by Mr.Trivedi.His party has made it clear that his demand for an order in writting from Ms.Banerjee to step down was not required.Currently,there is no communication between Dinesh Trivedi and Trinamool.
